Make Your Own DIY Bubble Bath

Homemade Bubble Bath

NOTE: This recipe will give you nice big bubbles to start, but they don’t last as long as store-bought. But you can rest assured that these are better for your skin, chemical free!

Don't you just adore our bathroom window's "cute" and "bacon" Shower Art pieces? They are from Ugly Baby and are my personal favorite!

Recipe:

  • 1/2 cup Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Castile Soap
  • 1/4 cup glycerin – moisturizes and softens the skin
  • Approximately 15-20 drops essential oils
  • 8 oz. container – this olive oil dispenser is fantastic!
  • Have a bigger container to keep your bubbles in? Simply multiply the recipe by two or three.

You can use whatever essential oil you prefer, but I prefer Joy for bubbles. It has a cheerful flowery scent that makes me want to soak in bubbles! Lavender and Citrus Fresh are also excellent choices.

1. Fill your container halfway with castile soap and glycerin. To pour your ingredients into an olive oil jar, you'll need to use a funnel. What I like about the olive oil dispenser is that it releases bubbles into the bath water in a small stream, which is ideal for allowing bubbles to form slowly!

2. Add your essential oil drops. You can add more than I suggest because the water in the bath will dilute the oils even more. So add as many as you want until it smells just right!

3. Put the lid on the container and give it a good swirly shake to mix everything together.

It's all set for the bath! Get your bubbles ready!

Our little monster finger puppet is also ready to unwind in the bubbles!
